I chose this article because it is safer than some others with human interaction! I cannot believe that there are so many cowards out there that just click “thumbs down” on comment boards! I see nothing in this heartfelt story for this type of thing to happen! Ignorance and cowardice seem to be the only reason behind it! Then of course there are those that make the negative comments, probably for the attention!
Honesty people that think the money should be sent to the needy in another country just makes me think why? Why should we send more money to other countries when there is need right here? The other is when they think it is too much to spend on an animal yet when you really think about it, we are the reason these animals became domesticated and cannot take care of themselves! We are becoming a very synical humans by alot of the things I read here! This was about a cat, I know, but it could be any story out there right now and there are people that are just outright ignorant! I understand there are many people that do not care for cats and/or dogs but if that is the case then just do not comment! This story took place in my home state and for the most part most shelters are no-kill but there are a few and I am glad that this cat did not get put down! I am an animal lover and have 2 dogs and 2 cats and I would do whatever I needed to help them even when it comes to having to put them down to relieve their suffering do to an injury that cannot be corrected or from old age as in our beloved black lab/husky mix! She was almost 15yrs and my husband had gotten her as a pup, runt of the litter and although she looked like a black lab her tail had been docked to a nub! The only reason my husband had it done is her tail was deformed, it looked like a corkscrew and could not sit and was having other problems. The vet at first thought he was nuts until he saw her! She never had pups because she had been spayed but she was a momma dog that treated the cats as her pups and even other dogs we had. Especially when they started to get to rough, she would low growl and bark and they would stop! We miss her dearly but she was in alot of pain and other issues that it was time! Some people do not realize how attached people are to their pets but hopefully they can lay off the negative! If that could ever happen on a story like this then maybe it would get better on the rest! Unfortunately I doubt it with the amount of ignorance and stupidity out there these days!
